Embodied Practice for Clinicians
You spend your days tracking other people’s systems, their pain, their breath, their patterns of movement.
But your own system is part of the treatment, too.
This is where Medical Qigong and somatic practice meet clinical intelligence.
It’s where the practitioner’s regulation becomes the foundation for patient change.
When you are grounded, your assessments sharpen, not because you’re thinking harder, but because you've developed deeper focus and perception clears.

My path into this work began academically.
For my doctorate, I chose to study breathing patterns, how they organize movement, posture, and stability.
After months of analyzing data and reviewing research, I understood breathing intellectually.
Then, in 2014, I took my first Qigong class.
Within minutes, I could feel what I had been studying, the coherence between breath and movement, the internal connection that allowed me to tend to myself rather than just analyze myself.
That moment bridged science and embodiment.
Since then, I’ve spent over five years studying Medical Qigong and Chinese Medicine formally, refining how those principles can live inside clinical practice.
Now, I teach from that intersection
where evidence and embodiment meet.
The Grounding Course:
A 6-week immersion in Medical Qigong, breathwork, and somatic regulation.
I created this for healthcare professionals who want a structured, evidence-informed way to reconnect to their own internal orientation without leaving the language of clinical reasoning behind.
You’ll learn to:
Regulate your nervous system through Medical Qigong forms and breathwork
Restore rib-pelvis stacking and diaphragmatic pressure for true stability
Cultivate awareness that sharpens perception and empathy
Anchor patients through your own calm presence
Integrate subtle energetic awareness into biomechanical logic
When you as the clinician are grounded, something shifts:
Patients sense coherence.
Fear, confusion, and frustration settle.
They experience a model of safety through your steadiness and healing becomes possible.
Format: Online, guided group (x 2) and 1:1 sessions(x1)
Length: 6 weeks
Investment: $297
Includes: Instructional videos, guided meditations, somatic integration practices, and clinical reflection prompts
After over five years of formal and informal study in Medical Qigong and Chinese Medicine and a decade of personal practice and mentorship
I’ve seen that clinician regulation is not an accessory skill.
It’s clinical strategy.
When your own system is steady, you can discern what a client truly needs:
Is this fear? Frustration? Overload? Disconnection?
You can meet them without judgment, anchor them through grounded action, and create the conditions for faster, safer recovery.
This is how we move from treating dysfunction to cultivating coherence.
Work in high-demand environments
Feel the cumulative fatigue of care work
Want a structured path to embodied regulation
Value principle-based training grounded in physiology
Are curious how coherence can accelerate healing outcomes
No prior experience with Qigong or meditation is required
just curiosity and a willingness to slow down.
Testimonials
"It is hard to put into words the impact Jena has had on my life and my understanding of myself. The work we did together allowed me to uncover longstanding trauma held in my body, bringing me a sense of autonomy, protection, and acceptance. Not only does she offer a plethora of valuable tools and techniques for grounding, but she does so in a way that is deeply honest and compassionate. My life is forever enriched by my time spent with Jena and I could not recommend working with her enough." - JB
